The use model of WUSB is a bit unclear. Yes, in first instance it will be similar to the Wired USB, being data transfer. But this _very_ high-speed data link can also be used for HTDV transmissions to your television screen, sync data between your mobile and PC. As such, more and more local wireless connectivity links could be establised.

I totally agree with keeping the Wishlist compact.

The basic reason for moving the wireless USB is that - as I understood it, it's not as yet being positioned primarily as a means of data transfer, like wifi, wimax, ... It's intended for expansion, and though some of these devices may plug into further networks, you won't very soon see public wireless USB access points.

This, and the fact that USB2 is already in expansion made it seem a good fit.

I've also got to make some rather arbitrary calls in order to keep the wishlist in some sort of order. I'm also trying to edit down some of the longer entries - for example there were ones explaining the details of all mobile phone standards, which is quite irrelevant as the wish isn't for the standard to change, but for the phone to work in the users country and ones they may visit.

I'll be looking up chipsets tomorrow, and fixing that bit. thanks --Speedevil 01:05, 28 March 2007 (CEST)
