This procedure works for me, Windows XP SP2 and Neo kernel Linux fic-gta01 2.6.22.5-moko11-r2

To enabled IP Forwarding in Windows XP, go to 

Hkey_Local_Machine\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters

and set 

REG_DWORD: "IPEnableRouter" to "1"

Be aware that IP Forwarding can be a security risk.
