SHR-TangoGPS-OSM.png tangogps 0.9.9

tangogps is an easy to use, fast and lightweight mapping application for use with or without GPS. OPK for SHR is in Experimental feeds. The new features include:

  • Segfault on downloading maps fixed
  • GPX track load added

mokopod allows you to retrieve and listen to podcasts. When listening to a podcast, the scrollbar changes the volume.

Babiloo.png Babiloo 2.0.9-2

Babiloo is a free open source software developed to read offline dictionaries.

  • Runs on most platforms, GNU/Linux, Windows, MacOS, Nokia S60 (>1.9), Openmoko Neo FreeRunner.
  • Supports dictionaries in SDictionary, and StarDict formats.
  • HTML displaying for the supported dictionaries.
  • Able to download more dictionaries within the application.
  • Translated into more than 30 languages.

  • #tangogps irc channel started at Freenode network (more information)
  • Our Glamo hero - Thomas White - keeps up great work on improving kernel drivers! You can find detailed posts about getting rid of busywaits: "Look Ma, No Busywaits!", and about "Internal Memory Bottlenecks and Their Removal".
  • The Rasterman (Carsten Haitzler) "officially" leaked, that they (Enlightment) are working with, and are sponsored by a major electronics manufacturer. What they are working on, remeains a secret for now. It might be a phone, TV, game system, DVD player or anything else! Who knows? Name of this electronics manufacturer was not known, however recently they identified their new sponsor as Samsung.
  • SHR developers are working hard! They started to build Unstable version of SHR images again! However do not get too excited, as Sebastian Spaeth said. You can read full announcement here
