I'm currently trying to port FreeBSD to the Neo1973. Incomplete todo in random order:

  • Get u-boot with openmoko patches to compile under FreeBSD using arm crosscompiler
  • Build config template for FreeBSD neo1973 kernel
  • Try to boot a FreeBSD/arm kernel with u-boot
  • Try to get docs for the hardware, see GTA02 Openness
  • FreeBSD kernel needs to provide a framebuffer device for X
  • Port Xorg's KDrive X server
  • Write device drivers
