I like the idea of an Open Source phone, however many networks here in Alberta, Canada do not support a phone which is only GSM 900/1800/1900. The two which do, Roger's and Fido, only provide support for voice and text, no data. I like the shape of the FreeRunner with no sharp edges. I like that it runs Linux. I was hoping to try setting up a virtual keyboard on it with more keys than just letters. I enjoyed learning how to plug it in to my P.C. and provide Internet access to it. I am trying to decide whether to hold onto it and use it as a customiseable PDA or refund it though. If I could figure out how to add 3G network capability to it, then I would hold onto it.
