Modified zLib

Since size is a big concern - maybe I have at least the idea in which direction to search for a possible solution.

In the times everything had still to be downloaded from sunsite and compiled by hand there was a bible browser that used a modified zlib that made use of a modified zlib, - that compressed the text of the bible - but - as far as I understood - compressed every verse by itselves - which allowed for a very fast seeking - at the cost of compression ratio, since gzip no longer could learn from the past verses.

Two years ago I stumbled over this library again on my ubuntu box so it might still be alive.
