Hey there,

Name's Andre, I'm Canadian a software engineer by day, and father/hacker by night. I found out about the OM about a year ago (2007), and was finally able to get my hands on a FreeRunner in July 2008. I was frustrated on how it was barely running anything, so I decided to join this community to see if there would be anything I could do to help out!


Languages: - C, C++, C#(ugh!) - Motorola 6800 Assembly - Java (meh) - a whole slew of scripting languages - French (Je peux vous aider avec la traduction, au besoin) - English

Dev experience: - Embedded systems (Motorola 68K) - Linux Kernel Development (2.6) - QNX

Past Projects: - Real-Time programming teaching system using model trains for Algonquin College (Ottawa, ON Canada) - Control software for Closed Caption (CC) encoder, Senate of Canada - Second language training software for the Bank of Canada - Home monitoring system (School project) - Home automation system (Personal project)

Jobs: - Father to a wonderful 2 year old son - Software engineer, International Datacasting corp (http://datacast.com) - VP of VoIP technologies, 7013761 CANADA INC. (we're still looking for a name... once we find it, I'll post it here)
