Ok, after some days I experience some problems with one of my providers..
Orange is having difficulties sending and receiving sms .. phone-calls work nicely.
More to that my moko is still registering to "one" (name of the old provider before orange swallowed it).
-> I guess this is a problem with orange, or the sending-stations .. because it doesn't work at my home place, but in some other locations it works well (phone directly connects to orange)
After having those problems I put out my orange-sim, and put in the A1.
This seemed to solve the problem .. nice audio-quality, sending and receiving sms works as it should ..
+ plus-point for the fso-developers!
Another thing I tried out is the tangoGPS-thing .. it works, as far I see..
I've downloaded a lot of maps to my 8GB-storage card .. the map-download works as it should.
-> It's a pity that tangoGPS doesn't got a routing-engine .. but I'll try navit as soon as possible!
I guess that's if for today..
-> if there are some orange-users from Austria .. don't panic .. it's (hopefully - as I see it) not your openmoko that's not working as it should ..

I re-flashed my freerunner today - using latest fso release.
(download-page: [1])
It seems pretty usable (zhone is really nice!),
I only experience problems receiving sms..
following script will remove not-out-of-the-box-working desktop-shortcuts:
<script>
mv /usr/share/applications/paroli-io.desktop /usr/share/applications/paroli-io.desktop.bk
mv /usr/share/applications/paroli-msgs.desktop /usr/share/applications/paroli-msgs.desktop.bk
mv /usr/share/applications/paroli-launcher.desktop /usr/share/applications/paroli-launcher.desktop.bk
mv /usr/share/applications/paroli-contacts.desktop /usr/share/applications/paroli-contacts.desktop.bk
mv /usr/share/applications/paroli-dialer.desktop /usr/share/applications/paroli-dialer.desktop.bk
</script>
.. this are my first impressions so far..
I'll try to use pure fso for some time .. let's see what it'll bring!
Hello all,
I'll set up a page describing how to make the freerunner an actually usable phone ..
~ this will take some time I guess.. please be patient :)
cheers,
